July 15th: National Day of Action

On July 15th, we are taking to the streets to force our government and politicians to be bold and pass bold climate policy.

Our future is not negotiable. In 2020, young people organized in historic numbers to take back Congress and elect Joe Biden on a bold climate mandate. We did our jobs. In 2021, it’s time for Joe Biden and Congress to do theirs. This summer, we have the opportunity to demonstrate the power the government has to improve people’s lives by passing a robust climate centered infrastructure package and a Civilian Climate Corps: a national jobs program that would employee over 1.5 million Americans in good paying union jobs to slow the climate crisis by rebuilding sustainable infrastructure.

We Are Demanding:

1. No Compromise, No Excuses.

Democrats must take their power seriously and stop negotiating with a GOP who is not serious about climate action or delivering jobs for the American people.

2. Biden, meet with the people who elected you.

We demand that Biden sets up a meeting with Varshini Prakash and other youth organizers to hear our demands on infrastructure and climate action. Negotiate with us, not the GOP.

3. Pass the boldest jobs and climate package ever including a fully funded Civilian Climate Corps.

We need a robust climate centered infrastructure package that includes a CCC that would put over 1.5 million Americans to work in good paying jobs while combating climate change and building a sustainable future for our generation.

Take Action With Your Local Hub

We’ll gather at Members of Congress offices, or at their homes, to make sure they hear our demands loud and clear. We will hold rallies and marches, take non-violent direct action and give our elected officials a wake up call. People power put Joe Biden in the White House and gave Democrats the edge in Congress. And now, people power is going to force our elected officials to make the change we need.
