Oil billionaires are some of Donald Trump’s strongest backers, and with good reason. Their industry is dying, and they’re willing to prop up fascism to protect their profits.
To end his fascist rule and save our futures, we’re going to have to take on these corrupt oligarchs and make polluters pay.

Make Polluters Pay
The climate crisis is escalating. Our communities are being hit by record breaking storms and wildfires, droughts and floods, heat waves and sudden blizzards. And right now, everyday people are bearing the brunt of both the impacts and the cost of cleanup and recovery.
Shouldn’t the polluters who caused this crisis be the ones to pay to get us out of it?
As a youth movement to avert the climate crisis, we know that we cannot make forward progress under fascism. To stop the climate crisis, we need to end oligarchy in America, and we need to do it soon.
Fascism runs on big oil
Trump’s administration is backed by the same fossil fuel billionaires who have spread misinformation about the climate crisis for decades.
They bought his presidency because they saw the writing on the wall. Renewable energy is cheaper than fossil fuels, doesn’t poison our communities, and isn’t driving a disastrous climate crisis. Jobs in the clean energy sector are the fast growing energy jobs. Everyday people want our government to invest in the clean, high-tech energy of the future.
If they let democracy take its course, their fossil fuel business model would go the way of – if you’ll excuse the joke – the dinosaurs.
They’re choosing fascism over democracy because democracy means them losing billions of dollars.
We need a people’s movement to dismantle oligarchy
To beat fascism and transform our political system so it actually works for everyday people, we’re going to have to take on these greedy billionaires, polarize the public against their blatant corruption, and make them pay in the states and in the courts.
We can do that. Working people make the world run, and we have the power to grind it to a halt. We have a four year plan to organize our generation to disrupt business as usual, withdrawn all cooperation from Trump’s fascist agenda, and force the massive change we need to win a Green New Deal.
That all starts with turning the public against Big Oil’s oligarchy. We will publicize Big Oil’s role in the climate disasters that ravage our communities, polarize the public against Big Oil, and make them pay for the climate impacts they’ve caused.
The people who got us into this mess should foot the bill for cleaning it up. That’s only fair, right?
To get there, we’ll need thousands of trained, skilled, motivated young people, so we’re running trainings all summer around the country (and online for those who can’t attend an in-person training).

This summer, our movement’s launching the “Skills to End the Oligarchy” training series designed to prepare a new generation of young organizers to fight for climate justice, take on the billionaires wrecking our planet, and build people power in our communities.
In these sessions, you’ll learn how you and your friends can reshape your community, share personal stories that inspire others, bring new people into the movement, and organize effectively both online and in the streets.
Whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your skills, this series will help you grow both as a leader and as an organizer to help build a movement powerful enough to save our futures.
