In 2020, we helped Jamaal Bowman defeat 30-year incumbent Eliot Engel in a landslide, making his win one of the biggest upsets in recent electoral history. Since then, Jamaal has been a fighter for our movement — from advocating for the Green New Deal at our protests, to introducing the Green New Deal for Public Schools in Congress.
Jamaal spent his early years in public housing and rent-controlled apartments, is an educator and served as principal for a decade at a Bronx middle school. He is now fighting for his students, for his neighbors and their families. He’s fighting for us. We can’t afford to lose one of the strongest voices in Congress now.
