Mike is a former public school teacher, union organizer, and civil rights attorney who’s been fighting for everyday people for over 20 years. His opponent, 8-term Republican incumbent Michael McCaul, is Congress’ biggest investor in fossil fuels and the co-architect of Trump’s Muslim Ban. Mike narrowly lost to McCaul in 2018–now he’s back to finish the job and prove that the Green New Deal can win anywhere, even in the heart of Texas.
